Baby, it's bad out there...

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, so on and so forth...

Christmas was good. There was minimal family drama, which was nice. Dad forgot the shops were closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so he had no food....well done, Dad.

New Years was fun. I went to Field Day and it was AMAZING!
So so so much fun. Except for one of my boys getting arrested. That wasn't so great...idiots.

What else? Oh, my sister is pregnant. That's pretty exciting.
That's about it.

Oh, and I have my ticket to NEW YORK! Yay!!
I arrive on the 17th Feb. It needs to get here quickly, please. I get back to Sydney on the 28th Feb and start my Honours year at Uni the very next day. What an intelligent cookie I am, ha. I'm going to hate life when I get back, I can tell. I'm most excited about seeing Meghan, and I have a huge list of things to do because last year we weret oo busy doing Exquisite Corpse stuff. Yawn. Ha ha.
I know Meghan will abandon me for most of these things because she hates tourist things, but that's fine by me. I will be the traditional tourist, and shop my money away =]

Things to do before leaving New York:

- Make my own Muppet at FAO Schwarz (!!)
- Buy my brother a Vandelay Industries t-shirt from the NBC store
- Buy the books I need for Honours at Strand Books
- Buy a fisheye lens at B&H Photo
- Visit the Tim Burton exhibition at the MoMA
- Pack on a few pounds at Dylan's Candy Bar (hellooooo choc covered gummy bears)
- Make myself at home in Sephora =]

So, you know...just a few things I want to do.

We're seeing New Found Glory the night after I arrive, too. You have no idea how exciting this is for me. The last time I saw them at their own show was 2003. I was 16! How time flies.

It has been brought to my attention that I am going to freeze over there in February. The Christmas we spent there in 2000 was cold, obviously, but it wasn't unbearable or anything. I have a feeling this time might be different. Argh. Bring it on...I just want to be there!

Aaaand, I'm done.
